How it works
Add ClearCal from the Chrome Web Store. Click Connect and sign in with Google — takes under a minute.
ClearCal scans your calendar and classifies every event automatically — no setup, no tagging.
New events are coloured automatically. ClearCal refreshes every 30 minutes and on every calendar view.
Toggle rules on or off. Pro users can pick any of the 11 Google Calendar colours per rule.
Privacy & Security
Most productivity tools work by syncing your data to their servers. ClearCal is built differently — it was designed from the start so that your calendar data never has to leave your device.
Classification runs entirely inside the Chrome extension. Events go from Google's API to your browser — ClearCal's server never sees them.
You sign in through Google's own screens. ClearCal never sees your password. Your access token is stored only in your browser's local storage — never on a server.
Brokers your Google sign-in and validates your licence. That's it. No calendar access, no event records, nothing else.
No analytics, no tracking scripts, no event metadata. We don't know which meetings you have or who you meet with.
Read events and update their colour. That's the full extent of ClearCal's access. It cannot create, delete, or share events — and has no access to Gmail, Contacts, or Drive.
Disconnect from the popup at any time — access is revoked instantly and all local tokens deleted. Or go straight to your Google Account permissions to remove it from there.
Works everywhere
ClearCal writes colours directly to your Google Calendar events via the API — not as a visual overlay. Once set, the colours live on the event itself and show up on every device and app that connects to your Google Calendar.
The colour lives on the event — not in the extension. ClearCal just needs to run once.
