ClearCal runs from Chrome and updates Google Calendar event colours directly. It is built for calendar-heavy users who need to understand a packed day without opening every invite.

What the extension does

• Connects to Google Calendar: use Google sign-in and grant the calendar permissions needed to read events and update their colour.
• Classifies upcoming events: ClearCal checks event signals and assigns colours for the meeting types it recognises.
• Writes colours back: event colours live in Google Calendar, not just in a ClearCal overlay.
• Refreshes automatically: new and changed events are revisited so the calendar remains readable over time.

Why Chrome instead of another calendar app?

A browser extension can improve the calendar you already use. ClearCal does not ask you to migrate to a new scheduling tool or maintain a second view of your week. It keeps Google Calendar as the source of truth and adds a colour system on top.

Where the colours appear

Because ClearCal updates the actual Google Calendar event colour, the result can appear in Google Calendar web, iOS, Android, Gmail sidebars, and other apps that sync Google Calendar event colours.
